The lightweight 40 mm Optimist SILVER regatta boom from Optiparts is much stiffer than the 32mm school boom and will allow the Optimist sailor to put more tension on the leach.

- 4 mm polyester outhaul
- 3 mm Vectran bridle with ring
- 3 mm Vectran boom preventer
