Optimist One Design racing foils from Optiparts are built according to the new class rules and used at many World and Continental IODA Championships. Class rules have standardized Optimist daggerboards and rudders: size, shape, epoxy, foam and fiberglass. Both Optimist rudder and daggerboard are made to the maximum allowed thickness to create Optimist foils as stiff as possible under the given rules. The Optimist daggerboards from Optiparts are fitted with nicely finished teak wood battens.
