For older Hobie Mirage kayak owners with the kayak style seat. These plugs feature a wedge style locking system that is a vast improvement over the older straight plug system
The wedge can be tighened or loosened by turning the split-ring. This allows owners of older Mirage kayaks to lock the seat pad in place and reduces the annoying pop-out when accelerating using the Mirage drive
Care must be taken not to overtighten the locking wedge as it can split the molded in seat plug receptacle in the hull.
